Things have been tough lately...really tough. Laura was laid off in April, she drew her unemployment until the end of October, so that helped a lot. Since it ran out, work has almost been impossible to find. We actually took some cans we had been saving to the recycling place and made a fair amount of money for them...enough to barely scrape by another week. Through it all, we have become even closer than before. We spend all our time together and wouldn't have it any other way. We are so much in love, even after seven years of marriage. Our anniversary is today...woo-hoo! I am thankful every day that God gave this wonderful woman to me, and I tell her all the time how much I love her...and she tells me as well. We are truly the best of friends. Still, life is hard for the both of us. We try to stay positive, for only positive people will prevail in the end. We're always thinking of new ways to get by...always looking to the future and keeping our goals in mind. Our agency, Child Loss Family Assistance, is growing at a snails pace, but it is growing. Soon we will be helping families just like ours, that have lost their baby due to SIDS and have no idea where to turn.
Our website, childlossfamilyassistance.org, costs a certain amount per month to maintain. If not paid by a certain date, it goes off-line until paid. Well, we weren't able to pay it this month so it went off-line. Somehow, it's back on-line. We don't know who paid it or why, and really have no way of knowing. God knows, and I pray he blesses them tremendously for this gift to us. Our baby Layton's website, laytonspages.com, was paid as well.
Thank you to whomever did this. we appreciate it so very much! Truly, things happen...sometimes good things, sometimes bad. This time they were good. And so we celebrate...for our websites are up and running again for another month, and for this is our anniversary today. We praise the Lord today, for it's an awesome day!
We are thinking of moving out of state, but for now it's just being discussed, no immediate plans have been made. We started going back to church and found a new church we are very comfortable in. It's a Baptist church but you'd never know it. They let you eat dough-nuts and drink coffee right there in the service, they believe the same way we do, and so far it's been great. The music is awesome...Christian-contemporary, and the band is great. I'm thinking about auditioning, maybe just to do special music, or maybe as a back-up guitarist or back-up singer. We'll see.
God has really blessed us, even though sometimes it doesn't seem like it. Trying to live by faith is really hard sometimes, although it has it's rewards. I'm remembering that I learned that God is pleased when his children walk in faith. So that's what I'm shooting for...daily.
